If you can’t understand the Japanese language menu
If there isn’t an English menu available, or the menu doesn’t have pictures in it, then go look at the restaurant window. There’s often the complete range of meals recreated in plastic, with prices.
(If you want to buy some plastic food, there’s a huge range available at Kappabashi street in Tokyo)
